{Much needed warmth}

We live in a farmhouse built in 1913, some of it has been updated and remodeled but the majority of the windows are very old and drafty.  A strong gust of wind will push a couple of the doors wide open.  Thankfully, this winter has been mild but propane goes fast and is expensive to fill up.  We have been living in our robes and slippers to make up for keeping the heat so low.   Dan was able to convince our landlords to buy a wood boiler to heat the house and after a few weeks of waiting it has arrived!  During the wait Dan had to dig a trench, lay the pipes and wires, fill with gravel and dirt, level the pad and position the pavers.  The next challenge was to get the 2000+ pound boiler into place without a safe lift or hoist to do it.  Dan and his dad put their heads together and they accomplished the final task in about an hour.

We realized how crazy we are for the 10 acres and the privacy of the farm to a normal city house and a normal furnace!! The final connections will be complete tomorrow and the heat will be operational!!

    1. Don't be too jealous,the track purchase has been a bust this winter so far. C'mon over when the snow gets deep and try em out! Its a lot cheaper to know some body with tracks than it is to own them!
