{Basketball}

This winter we signed Cub up for Kindergarten/1st grade Basketball thru Watertown Schools.  The program is about 10 weeks long and he meets for 1 hour every Saturday.  We are really happy with the program, the kids break off into groups of 5 or 6 and rotate to different stations to practice different skills.  They work on building their confidence and abilities without the pressure of the rules of the game. 

 

We were so happy to hear that the kids were going to play their first game during the halftime of the Watertown High School game on Friday.  Cub is wearing a blue jersey with # 25 on it...the one with the ball!

After this, all the 1st graders came out and played for 2 minutes then they switched back again.  The greatest part was the next day when Dan and Cub sat on the couch and reviewed game footage. They talked about all the aspects of the game because Cub likes to hear what he did well and what he needs to work on.
