{Catching Up}

Spring time was busy, even with the crappy weather we had we didn't slow down.

Let's look back at the Last day of School...

June 5th: Cub said good bye to Mrs. Mayer and 1st Grade!

We got his final report card and he laid the smack down (yes, I just said that) on 1st Grade.
Cub did awesome and he already finished about half of the workbook his teacher sent home for the summer. Above all that he made a great connection with a special boy in their class with disabilities.  He took a stand when others where not being very kind and that makes me the most proud.

June 7th: Cami said good bye to Preschool at Alphabet Junction and all her great teachers there.

 The summer involved our annual family vacation to Wyoming, Baseball, T-Ball, parks and beach time and lot of working on goats!

Ruger is not a water dog.  He hasn't really had a chance to get used to it so we brought him to the beach. He wanted to go out with the family but needed a little boost of confidence.

With Dan's help he walked out with ease and things only got a little hectic when he had to actually swim.    Great Danes aren't known for their love of water but at least he's not afraid of it anymore.

  After a trip to see our goat mentor, Joy and her family, we took their teachings home and practiced shaving, walking and showing goats.

You need to shave the hair very short on the wethers (boys) to show off all their meaty goodness to the judge.

Cub did a great job but Dan did help out at times, especially in the sensitive areas.

Baseball/T-Ball

I wasn't allowed to bring my camera much so a couple of phone pics is all I have to show for this season.  Cub had a great team and the coach, Gregg, was a coach with Dan last year.

Cami's team was exactly what you'd expect from a T-ball team.  At one point during a game John was licking 3rd base.  She had fun and at some points gave it her all.  She was just 1 of 2 girls, all the boys were more into wrestling for every ball and she was just fine watching them.

Stella

Our newest family member joined us this summer.  Morgan's last litter was in April and with only 2 of the 8 pup being girls we didn't have a lot to choose from.  Luckily her personality is great which makes up for her markings.  I like the dogs with a dot on their head (like every Brittany we've had) not the heart shaped crown.  I was overruled this time some I guess it growing on me.

Whew that was a lot to cover and I left so much out... Now it's almost time for school to start again.
