{petting zoo}

I’ve always said I wanted a little hobby farm with just one of each different animal.  We’ll thanks to my husband’s full tilt attitude and my impulsiveness; we are well on our way! 

Introducing, Stormy and Angel!  

Angel aka Apricot is 2 years old and pregnant!  She is a dairy/boer cross that my Father in law gifted to us!  The kids wanted to rename her Angel after I mentioned Apricot was too close to April.  Even if we shorten it, it still sounds like Ape.  We have been looking at goats at a farm in Jordan called Red Country Acres, Joy is so nice and helpful.   While we were picking up Angel, Joy asked if we knew anyone who wanted a mini donkey.  The rest is history.

Stormy is a 3 year old Miniature Donkey.  He was born overnight during a terrible storm, hence the name.  We purchased him from a nice couple in Jordan.  He and Ruger about about the same height and they like to sniff each other through the fence.  Ruger doe a play bow and starts to rear up and Stormy gives him a good snort!  We haven't heard him bray yet, I'm hoping it's loud so we can retaliate to the neighbors donkey!  Dan hand made that yellow halter out of rope until we find one that fits him.
