{a young boy's right of passage}

Dan and Cub left on a plane Friday morning for a hunting trip in SoDak (South Dakota).  That is how I always write it, SoDak.  For years, my calendar has been littered with that: "Dan in SoDak" so that's how it will always be.  This is a rather important trip you see, my baby is 8 and he's flying to SoDak with the other men to go hunting.  Oh My God, I cant believe it has happened so soon, he's just 8, help me! (yep, I used God because this is both a statement and a prayer to the Lord) That leaves a nice little girls weekend for me and Cameran! We have some fabulous plans this weekend.

Last night I called and talked to Cub, after he filled me on the days events I wrapped with "Bye, I love you."  He barely managed to get out a "uv u" in a muffled voice, then handed the phone back to Dan.
Talk about heart breaking, he's already giving me the I love you snub on the phone.
Marty, Brian, Jacob, Dan and a man that shall remain nameless.

The generations of Weir Men and the classic no smile hunting picture.  For some reason you can not be happy when showing off your haul for the day.
It's in the rules I think.

Update: the nameless man is Doug!
